- What specific things did you learn from your group's parable?
My group's parable was The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant, which teaches forgiveness and mercy. A King calls one of his servants who owes him ten thousand bags of gold in debt. The servant was not able to pay, so the King orders the debt to be passed on to his wife and kids. The servant begged the king and said, “‘Be patient with me,’ he begged, ‘and I will pay back everything’” (Matthew 18:27). The King then canceled all of the servant’s owed debt. Then the servant went out and found a fellow servant who owed him a hundred silver coins and began to choke him demanding that he pays him back. When the man pleas for time, the servant disrespects that and has him thrown in jail. By word of mouth, the incident comes back to the King. “‘Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’” (Matthew 18:33). The wicked servant is then thrown in jail to be tortured until all of his debt is paid. This summary of the parable showcases how forgiveness and mercy are necessary for life. You also must learn that what you receive should be transferred to other aspects of your life, much like the two servants in the parable. If you are granted anything, make sure to take that gratitude and forgiveness and make it an important detail of your life. Also, never be unreasonable like the first servant to his fellow servant. It is cruel and unmerciful to treat another human like that. Always follow the Golden Rule of "treat others like you want to be treated".
- What specific things did you learn from the parables that were presented by the other groups?
I learned so much from other group's presentations that I can draw into my life. In the Prodigal Son, I learned that you should always give others forgiveness no matter if they did anything wrong. In The Laborers in the Vineyard, I learned that loyalty is earned and given to all who enter the gates of heaven. In The Rich Man and Lazarus, I learned that you should always help the poor regardless of your wealth and that happiness does not rely on how much money you have. In the Parable of the Sower, you must find God's path and live your life devoted Jesus. From each of these stories, I learned something different that I can carry over into my spiritual life.
- Which moral/lesson impacted you the most and why?
The morals that helped me the most were about forgiveness, the Golden Rule, and giving to the poor. It is hard sometimes to learn to forgive your enemies, especially if they have done something terrible to you. By forgiving, you are following Jesus and living your life how He wants you to, with plenty of love and no hate towards anyone. The Golden Rule of "treat others how you want to be treated" is a very influential aspect of my life because it governs my everyday actions. By giving to the poor, you are showing that no matter how wealthy and fortunate you are, you are still able to live your life how Jesus lived his. By giving to those in need, you are surrounding yourself to God and helping those truly in need. I can carry each of these lessons I learned into my life because they are so important.
- What do you think it would be like if Jesus were physically in our society today?
If Jesus was physically alive in our society today, the world would be an extremely better place. Jesus would have so many lessons for people to learn to live their life like God wants us to. In our world, there is so much hate that can be prevented by learning the parables that Jesus taught us. If he was alive, he would have the power to spread these ideas to so many other people. There would be much more love in our world than hate and we would live much happier lives. Jesus is such an influential person that he would make an astounding impact on how we live our lives even more than He already does.

This was so helpful to me learning the morals from the story and the impact Jesus was trying to get across.
